Your baby can read

Everywhere I go people always express shock at how well Cailey speaks. She is a very smart little girl and is quite content to talk your ear off all day. I am sure that some of that is from her genes but I like to think that some of it is from a program we did with her when she was young, wait who am kidding she isn't even three yet she is still young! Anyway when she was 9 months old. :)
The program is called Your Baby Can Read. No, Cailey can not read, I don't do the program religiously enough to get her reading. There is a lot involved; you are not allowed to watch anything but the your baby can read videos, you watch the videos with your baby so you can help them clap and wave at the appropriate times, you watch the same video twice a day for a month and then review them twice a week after that(there are 5 videos), do flash cards, and read the books to them. The whole program takes around six months depending on your child. Like I said there is a lot involved in the whole process, I take a more relaxed approach to the whole process. I really enjoy doing the videos with my babies and reading the books and while they do not know how to read I definitely have seen an improvement in vocabulary.
I started to do the program with Jason last week and in that last week he has already learned how to respond to the word clap. I think that is fantastic, I am sure we will see more success as we keep going.
I also think that we have laid a good foundation for Cailey and soon Jason so that when the time comes reading will come easily.

Here is a video of my little man clapping
